= Abstract Expressionism was also known as “Action Painting” an existentialist title which implied that they physical act of painting was more important as the result itself ….

- When and where was Abstract expressionism popular ?

Art historians say Abstract Expressionism is the most original style ever created in the United States. It continues to influence artists to this day.

= Jackson Pollock’s Enchanted Forest is large-more than 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall and almost 4 feet (1.2m) wide. He created it by laying his canvas on the floor, then pouring and dripping paint on it while walking and dancing around it. This technique is called action painting.Because it’s abstract, Enchanted Forest doesn’t really look like a forest. But the swirling lines of paint do remind us of tangled tree branches and vines.
